It's a Sketchy Challenge - Dec 2012

Last night, I posted the December sketch in the It's a Sketchy Challenge gallery:

Here's my layout:

Supplies used: Bazzill Basics cardstock; Sassafras Lass and American Crafts patterned papers; Sassafras Lass die cuts; Marvy Uchida, Martha Stewart Crafts and EK Success punches; QuicKutz alpha dies; Me and My Big Ideas rhinestones, Scrapbook Adhesives foam adhesive; PaperMate Flair marker; unknown washi tape.

Fairly simple design and easy to execute, this layout was meant to capture those chubby cheeks and not much else, hence the lack of journaling. I punched various shapes out of patterned papers and other die cuts for the flower centres and used dimensional foam for depth.

I also created a card inspired by this sketch but will share that later in the week...

Now head over to the Sketchy gallery and get inspired to create your own layout!  You can use it as is or as a springboard for your project - the choice is yours!

{RAK ALERT!}
If you play along with the sketch this month, upload your layout in the gallery into the December Sketch section here, and then link up on this post to that layout, using Linky Tools below, by 11:59pm on December 31, 2012.

Not only do you have a chance to be published in an upcoming issue*,  but on January 1st, 2013, I will randomly draw a winner from the comments here of those who participated for a prize!  Prize details to follow at a later date...

* For a chance to be published, your layout must be uploaded in the Sketchy gallery for December, and must contain at least one Canadian manufacturer, which must be listed in the description of your upload.

I've extended the November sketch deadline until tonight at 11:59pm so be sure to add a link to your project in the Sketchy gallery to this post.  The winner will be announced tomorrow!

Cheers,

P/S: Don't forget about the other challenge on my blog for a chance to win a Cocoa Daisy kit:
Leave Your Legacy Winter 2012/13 issue: What You Fear Most (deadline: Feb 28, 2013)
