Stink Eye

At ScrapFest, I completed a layout that I had started a few weeks before at the pyjama crop I had attended in Elmira.  I've had this photo printed for a while now and have never scrapped it, because I was afraid of not doing it justice - it seriously makes me giggle out loud every time I see it.

Supplies used:  Bazzill Basics cardstock; American Crafts, Amy Tangerine and Sassafras patterned paper; American Crafts velvet ribbon; Studio Calico chipboard; EK Success punches; American Crafts sticker; Ormolu Flappers (Cocoa Daisy exclusive); Jillibean wooden flag; Maya Road and Fancy Pants trinket pins; Ranger Glossy Accents and Stickles; Doodlebug Stick With It alphas; Art Institute glitter; PaperMate Flair pen; October Afternoon brad; GlueDots; miscellaneous ticket  and buttons.

Is that not the funniest face you have ever seen?!  What a little stinker - I took to calling this her stink-eye photo and the kids thought it was hilarious... XD

Fairly simple in its' design, there are lots of little details on this layout, hence the continuation from one crop to another...  The lines around the sun, rays and cloud are all outlined in Stickles for some subtle bling and texture:

The flowers are punched out using the small and large Retro Flower punches and shaped with a stylus on a mousepad.  And I tied a knot at the end of the American Craft velvet ribbon and stuck two pins through it for good measure!

I was originally going to put the title in the circle of the sun and hide my journaling under the photo, but wanted to use these awesome Doodlebug Designs Stick With It alpha stickers - but there were too big for the title I wanted to use!  So I rearranged things and added them above the photo - they are two sided, so I just stuck them down on my layout, peeled off the protective cover and sprinkled some orange glitter on them.  Voilà!

And because I'm predictable, I had to put my little counter-balancing vignette in the top corner!  I love the exclusive Ormolu flapper that came with my Cocoa Daisy kit - I layered it with a sticker, punched flower and a ticket stub that I purchased several years ago at a scrapbook store in SK when I was there visiting!  (Feels good to use up some of my stash!)

I covered the Studio Calico chipboard clouds with Glossy Accents as an added touch and cut one of the  printed trims into a banner.  BTW, I love the idea of not wasting the UPC strip on the patterned papers!! Kudos to Sassafras Lass for initially starting the trend.

Cheers,
