Sketchy Challenge | July 2014

It's time for the Canadian Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge! I've posted the July 2014 sketch in the CS Sketchy Challenge gallery as well as here:

I had planned to work on this sketch but in prepping for the yard sale we were holding to clear our my dad's house, I was down to the wire this month.  And then Life threw us a curve ball last week - Aili was admitted to hospital Saturday night due to difficulty breathing.  Turns out her asthma was triggered by some sort of infection in her lungs (one doctor says pneumonia, the other is not entirely convinced…

At any rate, she is on steroids and antibiotics and we are being referred again to Dr. Bryan Lyttle from London, a paediatric respirologist who has treated Aili when she was younger.  I thought she had outgrown her asthma but it looks like we are back to the management of it. :(

I have photos in mind for this sketch though and I hope to get to it before the next month's sketch is posted!  Hopefully you find some time this month to play along!  Please head over to the Sketchy gallery and get inspired to create your own layout!  You can use the sketch as is or as a springboard for your project - the choice is yours!

{RAK ALERT!}
If you play along with the sketch this month, upload your layout in the gallery into the July 2014 Sketch section HERE, and then in your comment below, add a link to that layout, by 11:59 pm on July 31, 2014. On or around August 1st, 2014, I will randomly draw a winner from the comments here of those who participated, for a prize!

Stay tuned - I will be announcing our June 2014 Sketchy winner early next week!

**PLEASE NOTE:  In order to qualify for a chance to be published in an upcoming issue, your layout must be posted in the online gallery by July 31st, 2014.  To qualify to win MY prize, you must add a link to your layout BELOW, using the inlinkz tool, by July 31st, 2014.

Cheers,

P/S:  Don't forget about the challenges on my blog for a chance to win:

  4. I did the sketch for the first time, I registered to the gallery but it just wouldn't let me enter a photo, I can't find any place to submit, I entered through my blog here, I'm sure that isn't right but I don't know why the gallery wouldn't let me submit.

  5. Hi Karen - I'm sorry you are having troubles! I had a peek at your account on the Sketchy gallery site and it was still showing as unregistered. The system automatically sends you a email that has to be confirmed before it will auto-activate your login. Perhaps it got sent to your junk mail by mistake? At any rate, I've activated your account so you just need to log in, you should then see a link to upload to the gallery! Pls email me at sue [at] canadianscrapbooker [dot] ca if you still have troubles!

  6. Thanks for your help Sue, I never got an email, I did check my junk mail as well, anyway it's working now, so thanks, I added another link with the correct link to my gallery photo, my internet has been acting pretty weird lately, so maybe it has something to do with that. Thanks again.
