If roses grow in Heaven, Lord, please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me.
Tell her that I love and miss her, and when she turns to smile,
Please place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy, Lord. I do it everyday.
But there is an ache within my heart, that will never go away.

ReplyDeleteI saw this today, on the day of my Dad's Birthday who passed away two years ago. It's been a bitter-sweet day for me, shedding many tears and remembering those things that made my "Dad" so special. Thanks for sharing this Sue, it makes me realize that I am not alone with my thoughts and feelings.
