I had a few people bring my attention to this phenomenon and while I LOVE the idea behind it, I am going to have to refrain this year. With my trip to Saskatchewan looming next week, and so much to do before then, I won't have the time to dedicate to this task. 50,000 words in a month? That works out to about 1,700 words a day and not only do I not have the time, but I don't think that I have a big enough idea that will warrant the mass quantities of words!!
My hubby is playing along though. He always has such great ideas so I'm excited to see what he churns out! Although, he gave me a brief synopsis on his subject, and I have to admit - I may have rolled my eyes once or twice... ;)
Still, hats off to those of you who are going to try!! Maybe I'll have my own little writing party in January - fewer deadlines, less pressure, more time...
Now, to ponder my Harlequin Romance pen name...
