For 2007, that is?? It seems that this is not our year, for health issues, anyways!
Last night, Gary noticed that Aili's torso was covered in a fine bumpy rash. It didn't seem to bother her, and I thought that it may be just a heat rash, as she had been dressed in a long-sleeved t-shirt and fleece pullover all day at daycare. She seemed slightly warm as well, so we gave her some acetominaphen and decided to wait to see what the morning brought.
The rash was still evident in the morning, so I decided to not go into work as previously planned and took Aili to the walk-in clinic after dropping Gary off. Sure enough, her throat was red and inflamed and a throat swab confirmed what the doctor suspected.
Aili had strept throat and SCARLET FEVER!!
Seriously. I give up.
Oh Sue, I am so sorry to hear of all the health issues your family has faced in such a short time.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers go out to you and hope that you all get healthy really soon and are issue free for the balance of the year. Hugs my friend!!!
(((HUGS))) Sue....we are going through strep at our house right now too.....we are in the same boat as you, if the rest of the year is anything like these first 25 days :(
ReplyDeleteOMG Sue....will it ever end?? But maybe the worst will be getting out of her system now and then you can enjoy the rest of the year. Poor little thing!
ReplyDeleteOk, these daycare providers need to reassess their mandate if they're allowing children to attend and thus making others sick (assumming that's where she got it).
ReplyDeleteOh, my friend - what a crazy last few weeks you have had! Sending get well vibes to Aili and many ((( HUGS ))) to you. Remember that God doesn't send more than we can handle.
ReplyDeleteOH, Sue, so sorry to hear that Aili is sick again! I wish her a speedy recovery. Lots of hugs to you. Sending prayers that the rest of 2007 will be healthy for you all.
ReplyDeleteOh wow!! HUGE HUGS!! Hopefully Aili gets better quickly and this will be the last of it for a long, long time. You certainly have had way more than your fair share.
ReplyDeletesheesh! I would be asking for a do-over too! I hope she is feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteThat poor little thing!! Oh my heck. I want a "do over" for you too!! HUGS!!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly! If it wasn't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all! Poor Aili, she's really had a run of ailments hasn't she? My word...big hugs to all of you from me!
