May I present to you...

Sir Connor of Belle River!
We decided to go away for a few days over the March Break and took Connor to Medieval Times - the perfect show for a 7-year old, obsessed with knights and jousting! We left Aili at Gary's parents and caught the 7:30pm show. As a surprise for Connor, we signed him up for a knighting by King Alphonso himself!

Big mistake, I'm afraid... If I say, "Connor, can you please...?", he'll say, "Uh, Mo-om... what is my name?"

"Oh. Sorry, SIR Connor, can you please...?"

I think we've created a monster.
But he had so much fun, that it was worth it! He loved the jousting and sword fighting, and cheered wholeheartedly for our Knight - the Red & Yellow Knight - who ended up saving the day and winning the tournament! I had more fun watching his face all evening instead of the cast!

We vegged out on Friday, working on the website a bit and hanging with the kids & grandparents. Gary brought his guitar and his dad taught him a few basics.

On Saturday, Gary and I headed to Markham (via the 407 - it will be interesting to see how much that will cost us!) and met up with my friend, Jennifer, for lunch. We gabbed and chatted about Just Cre8 and scrapbooking, while Gary waited patiently... :D

Then Gary and I headed to see our wonderful friends, Sheri and Jeff. And of course, Paige, who was all decked out for the occasion:
Isn't she the cutest thing? Her shirt says, "Luck of the Irish"!
Sheri & Jeff had made reservations at The Braised Bull in Markham. Oh. My. Goodness. The food was fabulous! Sheri, Jeff and I had the Surf & Turf, with Alberta prime rib eye and lobster tail - so good! Gary had a huge prime rib eye steak dinner. We were stuffed! But we still made room for dessert too. And I had two of the BEST margharitas I have ever tasted! I could have easily had a dozen! Thanks, S & J, for the awesome dinner and fab company! We tried to take a photo before we left, but I couldn't remember how to set the self-timer on my camera!! I'm sure it had nothing to do with the DOUBLE Caesar that Sheri made me! ;)
And btw, big thanks, Sheri, for helping me pack up my paper for the kits! ;)
